Look out North Korea!

Given the recent incident putting North Korea in the news again, check out this incredible testimony from an 18 year old North Korean girl whose missionary father was imprisoned and ultimately martyred. She plans to spend her life sharing the gospel with her people of North Korea (not your typical 18 year old). This was recorded just a couple of weeks ago at The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelism.

Praying for the Lost

This morning I spent a few minutes in front of our Prayer Wall at church. It’s literally plastered with index cards containing the names of people who don’t know Jesus. Those names were submitted by individuals at Cedar Ridge as a commitment to pray for them regularly and a faithful petition to God to draw them near to Him. The cards were part of a worship service we participated in on June 3rd and in which I preached a sermon called “Recapturing Lost Things.”

Now there are hundreds of cards on that wall representing Christians who are lifting up their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family. As I was looking over them I noticed people praying for their unbelieving spouses. Parents praying for unbelieving children. Kids praying for unbelieving fathers and grandfathers. It really is a powerful place. And I can’t wait to hear about what God is going to do. I love what Paul said in Romans 10:1, “My heart’s desire and prayer…is that they may be saved.”
