Integrity Modeled by a Wisconsin Cop

Did you hear this story?  Richard Knoebel, Police Chief in Kewaskum, WI, wrote himself a ticket for passing a school bus with its lights flashing.  He said that he was distracted and had gone past the bus before he realized it.  And he still wrote himself a ticket!  What I love even more about this story is that this happened in September 2006.  The only reason it’s news now is that it became public record when Knoebel payed his fine. You have to appreciate someone (especially in a leadership position) doing the right thing, even when he didn’t have to.
